SHARON DVORIN, born in England, has been living in Israel since 1979. She started her musical education as a trombone player. While a student at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem she started studying voice with Mrs. Miriam Meltzer. Soon she appeared in operatic productions of the Academy, and then entered the New Israeli Opera and the Jerusalem Music Center Program for Young Artists for two years.

Sharon Dvorin has participated in numerous master classes, including the Israel Vocal Arts Institute (IVAI) summer program with Joan Dornemann (artistic director) and the London master class for singers with the soprano singer Mrs.Nelly Miricioiu.

Ms. Dvorin is a recipient of IVAI and AICF scholarships. She is currently under the vocal and coaching supervision of Nelly Miricioiu, Daphna Cohen-Licht, and Mr.Tamir Chasson.

Sharon Dvorin has participated in many opera productions at the Israeli Opera house and has sung with most of the important orchestras throughout the country. Sharon Dvorin has sung with Maestro Zubin Mehta and under the baton of other important conductors such as Asher Fisch, Dan Ettinger, Noam Sheriff and Tamir Chasson.

She appeared in the world premiere of the Gil Shohat opera Max and Moritz composed by Mr. Gil Shohat. She has also performed an Israeli premiere of Letter to Warsaw by Thomas Pasatieri at Yad Vashem, a song cycle by Pola Braun.

Recently performed the role of Donna Anna in the production of Don Giovanni with the Haifa symphony orchestra, with great success, under the baton of Maestro Noam Sheriff.

Her next upcoming engagements include the part of Mariane in Der Rosenkavalier and the part of the First Lady in The Magic Flute, both at the next coming season at the Israeli Opera house.
