Peter Harrison

Peter trained in Stage Electrics at RADA. He is a freelance Lighting Designer and Electrician working in and around London.

Peter’s opera work has included Lighting Designs for ‘Il trittico’ for Hampstead Garden Opera, and ‘Dido and Aeneas’. He joined the Welsh National Opera after leaving college and toured with them for six seasons as an electrician, before returning to London to work at the Royal Opera House. Most recently he worked as a Deputy Chief Electrician for Grange Park Opera.

Other theatre lighting designs have include ‘My Uncle Arly’ with Hoipolloi and Tiebreak Theatre Companies for a UK tour and the Edinburgh Fringe 2003; ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at the Westminster Theatre, London; ‘The International Playwriting Festival’ 2001 and 2002 at the Warehouse Theatre in Croydon and ‘Urban Stories’ at the Riverside Studios, Pleasance, London and for a UK tour.

Other design work has included Howard Barkers ‘Claw’ at the Greenwich Playhouse and ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’ for Surrey County Youth Theatre.

Peter is currently working as a Production Electrician for Shared Experience.
