KIRSTY YOUNG took a BA in English and Drama at Birmingham University and singing at Trinity College of Music.

Roles include Dorabella (Cosi Fan Tutte), Auntie (Peter Grimes), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Nicklaus (Tales of Hoffmann), Mercedes (Carmen), Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Hansel (Hansel und Gretel), Rosina (The Barber of Seville).

She is director of Hatstand Opera, touring for over ten years across the UK and beyond, presenting opera to new audiences.

She is on the board of the Opera and Music Theatre Forum (OMTF), and the Consumer Panel for Classic FM.
